Program & Purpose: This five-day course combines lectures, case reviews and workshops to each attending detective/officer who is responsible for conducting criminal investigations. The course target group is five-years or less of law enforcement experience.
This training will provide the tools necessary to conduct any major criminal investigation through preliminary stage, extensive interview and interrogation techniques, crime scene management and investigation, fugitive investigation, report writing and command post organization.
Through lectures, reviews of actual cases and classroom discussions the detective/officer will fully enhance his/her ability to handle various aspects of criminal investigation. All students will be encouraged to bring to class for the week of training a current or unsolved case which will be used throughout in on going workshop exercises.
