Ed has worked with other companies to develop technical products for science, industry and the law enforcement markets. The Law Enforcement Kit for first responders, instant x-ray systems for Hazardous Device Officers (Bomb Squad), DNA recording devices for forensic laboratories, devices to aid in AFIS documentation and many others.
Ed was the General Manager of Polaroid’s World Wide Professional Photographic Sector for five years. During his tenure several new film and hardware products were developed and brought to market to better serve the needs of the professional photographer.
As a founding member of the Polaroid Applications Group, he was given the resources to develop many new and exciting applications and products to serve the law enforcement, scientific, medical, and identification markets. Many of these markets required a thorough knowledge of computer technology and digital imaging.
Ed has worked with the Massachusetts State Police Crime Laboratory, the Connecticut State Police Crime Lab, the Vermont Police Academy, the New York State Police Lab, the Boston Police Crime and Ballistic Labs and numerous other departments in the United States and England.
Prior to joining Polaroid, Ed graduated from Franklin Institute majoring in photography and proudly served with 102 Air Police Squadron, U.S Air Force.
Ed’s goal is to continue to work with people to have them better understand the best tools and techniques for proper and complete documentation, specifically, crime and accident scene documentation.
