John Yustin Jr.

John Yustin has 33 years of Law Enforcement experience including patrol, Investigations, and Chief of Police.Mr. Yustin has spent the last 15 years of his career as a Detective in the Identification Unit at Burlington Vermont P.D. processing crime scenes including burglaries, shootings and homicides.

Recognized as an expert in Crime Scene Processing, Fingerprints, Shoeprints and Tire tracks and Firearms, Mr. Yustin has testified in Vermont District Court, California District Court, and U.S. District Court in Vermont and New York.

Mr. Yustin is a member of IAI an d NEDIAI and past member of the Board of Directors NEDIAI.

Mr. Yustin has taught Basic and Advanced Fingerprint schools, Collection and Preservation of Evidence, and Footwear and Tire track schools for several agencies in Vermont and at the Vermont Police Academy. He also is a guest lecturer at Community College of Vermont.
