Law Enforcement Instructor Development
 

This Forty Hour, (five day course) is designed to certify the experienced Law Enforcement officer as an instructor of General Police topics. Subject matter includes: Adult education, principles of learning in the classroom, preparation, planning, and developing instructional material, testing and evaluation, and prodigal presentation situations. Students write a final lesson plan from which they make a presentation. Students receive feedback through use of peer evaluation and videotape critique. The course is five days in length and out of class preparation is required for each day's activities. The student, therefore, should not plan any other extracurricular activities which would preclude them from completing their assignments due to the intensive nature of this course. Maximum Class Size: Twenty Students.
