Shawn Walsh

Shawn Walsh is an IT veteran and computer forensics specialist with 15 years of experience in criminal investigations and computer science in both the public and private sectors. As a Detective Sergeant and as an IT professional, he’s performed numerous investigations into computer related crimes as well as many forensic examinations of computer systems.

Currently, Shawn is owner and president of Paradigm Computer Consulting, Inc., in Bedford, NH. Since he founded the company in 1994, Paradigm has provided computer sales and support, network design and administration, network security, and computer training services. Under his direction, the company has also conducted computer forensic examinations for law enforcement, legal firms and other businesses for the purpose of criminal and civil proceedings. Paradigm has also trained numerous law enforcement personnel in computer crime investigation and collection, preservation and examination of computer related evidence. Shawn is an adjunct faculty member of Franklin Pierce College in Concord, NH, as well, where he teaches computer science and networking technology courses.

Prior to founding Paradigm, Shawn was employed with the Milford, NH Police Department for almost 15 years. He worked his way from Patrolman to Detective Sergeant and was supervisor of the detective division. During this tenure he was involved in many investigations of computer crime and other cases that involved the need for computer forensic examination. He also taught computer crime investigation and basic computer forensic techniques at the NH Police Standards and Training Council.

Shawn’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration of study in Management Information Systems from Franklin Pierce College. He has also attended training at the NH Police Standards and Training Council in the areas of computer crime investigation, fraud investigation, white collar crime, search and seizure, collection and preservation of evidence, crime scene investigation as well as many others. Most recently, Shawn attended Guidance Encase Software Training in Sterling, VA.
